How To Be Better With Money

Is it just me or it feel like the more money we make the more we spend?

As I reflect on my younger days when I earned less and struggled to make ends meet, I've come to the realization that there must be a better way to manage my finances. I've spent a lot of time thinking about it, and I believe I've found a solution that might help others in the same boat. So, for anyone seeking to improve their financial situation, I urge you to consider this: what could be the better way? Could we learn anything from successful people?

Before we get deep into this, let's first erase any self-doubt, or fear of the unknown that you may feel. And now that your Self-confidence is back to a hundred, you got this!

Let's get to unveiling the money secrets right before your eyes.....

1. Set financial goals

Start making long-term decisions take a moment to ask yourself: where do you want to be in months or years from now?.Have a clear vision of what you want to achieve, how much you want to have and the things you want acquire before a certain age.
It is very important that these goals should be part and parcel of you.You May write them down if you have to. So that in your journey, even when you feel like giving up your going to talk your self out of it because you know there is parcel at the end of the road.

2. Know the difference

Difference between what? you may wonder. Let me be clear; Know the difference between your wants and your needs.

Take a moment to think about that statement cuz that is one of the keys to becoming a real money emperor.

Your basic needs are food, shelter and clothing. Everything out of this is a want. Even though sometimes our wants may seem like needs, we need to know the difference to avoid falling into the advertisers traps. Before you buy something ask yourself: Do I really need this? How many times will I use this?. If you find yourself doubting, know that you don’t really need it. Don't convince yourself into buying the wants.

A word

In order to spend wisely, wait till you have enough to buy two or three of a want before you go for it.

3. Have a budget

Why would you go shopping without a list and most of all a budget. W-h-y? You would buy the whole store! Literally.   Most often, you'll get things you don't really need. It is in fact, very important to keep a specific amount for each need that is your food, clothes and if you rent your housing and bills especially if you earn a specific amount each month.

A word

Have a record of how much you spend and what you spent it on for the next month. Then you'll be able to see where all the money is really going to.                    Write down the amount your willing to spend for the month and Make a list of all your expenses for a month and the estimated cost, leaving some extra for your dreams (vacations) and emergencies.

4. Be disciplined

Making a budget is one thing but sticking to it is the hard part that is why we are calling on Mr and Mrs discipline to help you stick to your budget and resit the urge to buy that new dress you see on the mannequin through the glass door or the latest BMW car. The easiest way is to remember your goals and your dreams

5. Don't follow trends

Is it just me or does every single penny go to clothes, bags and shoes. For real though, the latest stuff are usually the most expensive so you certianly wouldn't save much if you want to keep up with all  trends. Moreover, you don't really need the latest stuff to look good or presentable as long as your clothes are clean and fit well, you are good to go.

6. Live according to your means

No matter how much you earn each month, it is very possible to manage and even have extra at the end of the month the secret is in this statement: live according to your means. This means so many things like don't compare yourself  to anyone. Don't get things you don't really need to impress people instead, live a simple and satisfactory life.

7. Avoid dept

Sometimes you may have the money but you just don’t want to use it, I get the feeling but when you pay for stuff with the money you have (cash) not with a credit card or something like that it helps you to know the real amount you have left.

8. Save

Don't take unessecary loans save money and the best way to do this is to make saving a part of you budget, you don't only save for the rainy days, you save for the fun times too (vacations). You can save more by to cutting down on your expenses;

Transportation if you have a car, you just need something to get you where you want to go nothing too fancy.

Your housing could it be possible for you to move to a cheaper and simpler appartement? Maybe turn of the light before bed and turn of the tap while brushing your teeth?
How much do you spend on food? Do you order or eat out almost all the time? well, eating out costs twice as much as cooking yourself. Make a list of meals to cook instead and try going to the grocery store to get the things you need once a week. It will at the very least save your gas money.

9. Invest

When you have saved up to an extent and you finally see things falling in to place, you have two choices either invest in yourself, or invest to get more and then, spend it on yourself. There are so many businesses you can invest in that is why you need to do proper research on each one before putting your money into it. You can get a lot of knowledge from books or documentaries about money and investments.
For starters you can put your money in a bank with a high interest rate while thinking of what to invest in.

10. Practice gratitude

What ever stage you may be in achieving your money goals be happy and applaud yourself for how far you're come in even if it's just the beginning stage be happy because you have started and it's better to be late than never. Stop thinking and over thinking about the things you can't afford instead, buy the things you can afford and be happy eating or wearing them because you did not steal them that's your hardwork right there.
