How To Make Real Friends

 Who is a true friend 

There are many definitions for a friend but I'll use these descriptions to help you see the real meaning.

A good friend, is some one who can make you laugh even when the whole world seems sad, commend you when you're right and encourages you to get on the right track when you're on the wrong one, someone who can see that you are sad even when you are smiling and most of all someone you feel comfortable with. That's why 99 percent of the time your best friend is your partner.

Know this:

   Friends come in different shapes and forms. They can be the same age as you, younger or older than you, your schoolmate, your partner, work mate, neighbor, siblings and surprisingly your parents. 

How to find a friend. 

It's your first day at a new school. It seems like every one is already paired except you. Is this how the rest of the year is going to be?Hell no! I say we have to fix this but how you wonder? 

Let me do the honors of unveiling the secrets right before your eyes.....

 Be yourself 

"But I am not cool" even I don't want to be friends with me. Don't say that you really need to overcome this self-doubt of yours and look at the bigger picture. No one ever wants a counter fit and if they get one by accident they will exchange it for the original and you are the only original version of you. Why would you leave that to be another persons counter fit. 

Also you will not feel comfortable and free around them because you are scared that one day they will find out the truth so..... 

Be friend material 

It's not like I just made this up? maybe I did but that's not the point. The point is, what kind of friend do you want? List some specific characteristics like kind, conversational, hardworking and so on. Can you say the same thing of yourself? As you may know magnets attract other magnets very quickly. 

Reach out

I am definitely sure there is someone in your class that matches your descriptions at least slightly, so what are you waiting for. Have some confidence in yourself, Go over there and say Hi!  It's not weird trust me.

Don't expect too expect much 

I had to include this disclaimer to the list. Look at every single description of a good friend above, it is built gradually just like in  every other relationship. Slowly but surely you will get comfortable enough to say everything you feel like saying.

Be ready to listen 

Yes! both of you are from different backgrounds and there is no freaking way you can know each other without you listening keenly to their stories even if you don't know how to respond.
